Advisory experience

  1. Radio Rentals

    Given changes in consumer habits, Radio Rentals, a large national consumer leasing business, required the development and implementation of a plan to solvently wind-down the business and an orderly collection of its debtor book.

  2. Arrium

    KordaMentha was appointed over Arrium Australia’s property portfolio of 70 owned and 180 leased properties throughout Australia, valued at approximately $500 million. Historically, management of the portfolio was outsourced, and ownership and tenancy fundamentals were not subject to rigorous review.

  3. University College

    University College is a student accommodation facility for 200 residents. University College had commenced significant capital works to redevelop and increase capacity to 320 residents. During construction, several unexpected challenges were encountered, and the project eventually stalled with the builder and University College in dispute.

Investment experience

  1. Libertine

    The 1,227 sq.m site was a former strata retail development comprising six allotments with a town planning permit for 20 apartments over four levels. Having failed to sell both ‘off-market’ and at auction, we subsequently negotiated to buy the site.

  2. Laverton North Property Fund

    The property was located in Laverton North, approximately 16km west of the Melbourne CBD and comprised five contiguous titles with a gross lettable area of circa 14,750sq.m on land of circa 3ha.

  3. Rise Projects

    KordaMentha and Rise Projects entered a joint venture arrangement in 2017 to develop multiple small- to mid-scale townhouse developments in Western Sydney. Developments focused on product with an affordable price point, in areas of demand and with limited time exposure to market.
